Inexpensive Mexican Fast Food
I love walking! Each Sunday morning, I walk to the Beth Israel Cemetery on West Dallas and spend time with my friend, JB, who works there at the gate every day that it is open, which is just Sundays!
I often will walk afterwards, and one of the streets I walk to at times is Emancipation, which is where I headed today. I have been wanting to try Brothers Taco House, which is at 1604 Emancipation at Leeland, since I saw it several months ago. This is a little over 3 miles from my house, just east of downtown.
It is open 7 days a week, but it closes at 1PM on the weekends and 3PM during the week. I had never been there before today, but it has been open since 2003. It was founded by the Alejandro family.
My lunch:
The six pork tamales were only $7, and they were delicious. They serve breakfast tacos and lunch tacos too. There are a few platters as well, including eggs.
